Mr. P, the point I tried to make to Mr. Silver is the common denominator in SCSCAI affairs, this being a small group that has taken political control of our common interest community by the use of  "Group-Think".  "Group-Think" makes it impossible for leadership, BoD, to think for themselves and use common sense.

It would be naive to expect any changes until this small political group is dealt with. Following the original intent outlined in our governing documents is the solution not the interpretation of this self serving group.

 What is Groupthink? (a perfect description of our Sun City leadership for 10-15 years)  

Groupthink, a term coined by social psychologist Irving Janis (1972),occurs when a group makes faulty decisions because group pressures lead to a deterioration of "mental efficiency, reality testing, and moral judgment" (p. 9).  Groups affected by groupthink ignore alternatives and tend to take irrational actions that dehumanize other groups.  A group is especially vulnerable to groupthink when its members are similar in background, when the group is insulated from outside opinions, and when there are no clear rules for decision making.
