Re: Gambling

Leo,
I am pleased that you took the time to revisit my comments, thanks. I hope this leads to a better understanding of my concerns and intentions.

As far a miss-communications goes; in business matters I always practiced a saying "if you ain't read it I ain't said it" this way there is nothing lost in interpretation.

Participation; for fifteen years I have  respectfully attended many Board meetings, mainly to gain insight in the decision making process of our community. When I questioned common sense I attended some committee meetings, offered to share my experiences with the Executive Directors and Board members. I also run for the Board two times. Leo, you would be surprised how many members like myself want to contribute to our community, the younger the better.

Leo, if you would like to meet socially for a cup of coffee, don't hesitate to give me a call.

--Dwain.  I have reflected over the issue of 5 Star and your comments and would like to say a few words on the subject.   Please believe that at no time did I intend to infer that "did" anything wrong.   When the subject of your participation came up, I asked a Board member if you have participated and was told that you did not want to do so (or words to that effect).  There was a miscommunication - I thought I had asked concerning 5 Star, the answer was given in reference to a previous conversation.  When you sent your followup note saying I had made accusations about you, I asked again and was given the clarification.  Whether you participated or not was up to you.  Several residents did participate and added value to the process.

I will apologize if what I said evidently bothered you.  But what I said was based on what I was told  and in no way was meant to be an accusation that you did anything wrong.  If you wanted to participate, you were not only welcome, but I am sure would have provided some valuable insight into what we were trying to do.
